Bahá’ís on the northeast Avalon will cap off the most important festival of the year for them on Thursday.
They will gather at the Network Cafe, 6 East Drive, to celebrate the 12th Day of Ridvan, the final day of a festival that commemorates a pivotal event in their history.
It was in the Garden of Ridvan in Baghdad in 1863 that Bahá’u’lláh announced he was God’s Messenger for this age.
Bahá’u’lláh’s revelation is distinguished by the theme of unity. His teachings foster unity in the home, in the community, in the nation and throughout the world.
Thursday’s celebration will include music and stories of Bahá’u’lláh as well as refreshments. All are welcome.
